From the ground up

Commitment to the environment and sustainability factors are becoming more and more important especially for companies actually. Recently I read a rather long article about sustainability standards for big corporations and I found most interesting that companies that do have these kind of standards and that do care about th environment end up having bigger monetary growth and benefits. It was directly linked. I guess most companies at first see it as a pure waste of money, but that does not seem to be true.
Anyways, Etnies has for this Spring a new project called SEED.
“In an effort to reinforce its commitment to the environment, the brand is proud to unveil the etnies SEED Project, a unique collection of apparel and footwear made of sustainable and recyclable materials that reflect our responsibility to give back to the planet, for Spring 2007. With the purchase of these products, 1% of the proceeds will be donated to benefit environmental organizations that etnies believes will plant the seeds for the future of action sports, humanity and our planet.”

Overall this is already a nice initiative, and what makes it even better, is that the products actually also look pretty good. Especially the jacket and the footwear is nice and the collection has overall nice colorways.
The collection will be coming out any day now around the globe. Check it all out after the jump.
