DNR is reporting: “[Joseph Abboud] is about to take the wraps off a new collection that represents his latest incarnation: Black/Brown 1826. Originally conceived as a proprietary line of men’s wear for Lord & Taylor, the collection has “morphed” into something much bigger, according to Abboud. So much so, the label is expected to account for some $100 million in sales within three to five years…. Designed to have a classic, masculine appeal, the line of tailored clothing, sportswear and accessories will hit Lord & Taylor in August for fall 2008 selling. During New York Fashion Week the department store will devote its Fifth Avenue windows to the launch—a first for men’s wear—and the product will be merchandised prominently in-store.”
