Where form meets function

For fifteen years Purple has been at the forefront of Fashion. As a publication, it has spawned a number of trends. In the 1990s, they employed fine artists to shoot editorials. Terry Richardson, Richard Prince and John Currin were among the select group. Celebrity muses, like Kate Moss and Chloe Sevigny, appeared regularly.
Purple revolutionized fashion publications. The Purple Anthology celebrates that legacy. Photographs from those mentioned above and essays from the likes of Dave Hickey serve to capture the changes in fashion over the 15 year period. Purple’s influence and inspiration on the rest of the industry is undeniable. The Anthology is available now at Colette.
