Where form meets function

Shepard Fairey is no doubt one of the biggest names in street art. His “Andre the Giant” stencil one of the more famous guerrilla art pieces in recent memory. From February 6 to April 19, 2009, the Institute of Contemporary Art Boston will exhibit “Shepard Fairey: Supply and Demand.” For years he’s supplied the world with countless pieces, and commercial product with Obey, boosting his demand in the art world. That has yielded this show, his first solo museum exhibition.
The ICA has a commitment to street art, and is currently showing Street Level, which closes in mid-October.
