Located on the northwest corner of 5th and Vine streets in Philadelphia, the Wood Turning Center is an absolute gem of a research center and gallery. Currently on view is Challenge VII: dysFUNctional, an exhibition challenging artists to think about the notions of both function and dysfunction in their work. The results are stunning and come in video, sculpture, photography and installation art. All work is available via an online exhibition as well. Additionally the center has produced one of the most beautifully designed catalogs of the year.

A few favorites from dysFUNctional follow.
