Where form meets function

Becki Chan is a Canadian designer. Back in 2005 she imagined a public smoking bench for Lasserra Building at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. While smokers are being pushed aside and treated to uncomfortable corners exposed to the elements, Chan offers seating with a built in ash tray. The pieces can be moved around and reconfigured. Second look at the bench after the jump.
