William Holman Hunt was one of the founders of England’s Pre-Raphaelite movement. An important moment in English Art History, Hunt and his bretheren were consumed by a quest for authenticity and beauty. The work is full of religious and literary themes. Sin and Salvation presents a number of paintings and objects never before seen on US soil, offering new insight on Hunt and his cohorts.

Sin and Salvation opens on June 12, 2009, at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.
