Known to many for his roll in Kill Bill, David Carradine has been gracing the silver screen since the 1960s. Photography Emily Shur produced this portrait of Carradine during a shoot at the actors home in Tarzana, California. Part of a set taken for Entertainment Weekly in 2004, this particular image has gone unpublished until now.

Emily Shur was born in New York City. She now lives in Echo Park, CA. Her work has been honored by the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize and Review Sante Fe.

Hideout Gallery, which focuses on contemporary culture photography, is offering prints of Shur’s work in three sizes. All are printed on Hahnemule Photo Rag. Each piece is hand-signed and numbered by the artist.
