Marcel Wanders’ is creating a dreamlike, multi-media installation at the Philadelphia Museum of Art with hand-picked objects representing key moments in his career. The exhibition is devised as a full sensory experience, with lighting, sound, and video all intertwined to give dramatic voice to Wanders evolution. The films shown are new and are focused on process.

Above is the “Knotted” Chair, designed by Wanders in 1996. Built of carbon and aramid fibers soaked in apoxy resin, the chair was gift to the museum from Mrs. Adolph G. Rosengarten in 2001.

Marcel Wanders: Day Dreams opens on November 22, 2009 and runs through June 13, 2010.
