Where the runway meets the street

Almost two years after opening their doors, the Stussy DC Chapter is set to begin a monthly release of exclusive tees. This new program will feature artwork from different artists and designers such as Eric Elms, Omar Quiambao, Jason Rodman and more.

The month of December ‘09 marks the first month of the program. The first tee refers to a nickname given to Washington D.C. by the legendary funk band Parliament in 1975. P-Funk enjoyed the love the city showed to the now legendary band and immortalized D.C. in their album “Chocolate City”.

The second tee features the artwork of Eric Elms, who was commissioned by the DC Chapter in 2008 to create two art-installation pieces for the shop. The “My Way All Day” tee is a two dimensional representation of his sculpture that adorns the shop.

The “Chocolate City” and “My Way All Day” tees will be released this Saturday at Stussy DC.
