On January 21, 2010, Aakash Nihalani’s On & Off (Often On) opens at Carmichael Gallery.

The exhibition will include site specific installations of colored tape and sculptural work made from metal and plastic. Nihalani’s work is widely recognized as some of the most striking installation art. His emergence follows great celebration of his modifications of the urban landscape. Based in Brooklyn, Nihalani balances the boldness of neon colors with minimalist patterning to great effect.

On & Off runs through February 18, 2010. Carmichael Gallery of Contemporary Art, 1257 N. La Brea, West Hollywood, CA.
