Color contrast is rarely a negative in furniture design. Mathias Hahn uses a bold yellow for the legs and base of his E8 table, choosing to leave the top in relatively raw form. The shape proposes maximum use of space – long and thin to easily accommodate up to 12, and also to easily clear floor space when moved against the wall. (via Dezeen).
