Celebrating 5 years of business, the Jonathan Levine Gallery draws in 40 artists for a group show opening on February 27, 2010. The work will be up for a month and includes pieces by a strong cast of contemporary art hitters. Juxtapoz caught up with Levine, who at 26 started putting art shows together, to discuss the “generational shift” in the New York Gallery scene. Certainly worth reading. The exhibition itself should also merit a visit – a great compendium of artists who embody the DIY ethos of the gallery and who manage to intertwine comic book, graffiti, and pop culture influence in the fine arts.
