Tomorrow in New York Sonic Youth, Lou Reed, the Virgins, Now We Are Here, and Jihae are coming together with legendary avant garde film-maker and and author Kenneth Anger for a special show to  honour his work at the Anthology Film Archives. As you probably know, as well as writing the infamous Hollywood Babylon books (proto-gossip rags exposing the golden age of Hollywood), Anger has been making short films since 1937, and has been influential, in one way or another, to everything short and moving that you can think of.

Tomorrow, he will performing as Technicolour Skull, with his long term collaborator Brian Butler. They made this special preview film just for us, featuring exclusive archive footage. (lovemag)
