Sandro Tchikovani, aka Misk1, has a new series of works on view at Seattle’s Tether Design Gallery. Entitled, Stamped Letters and Icons, the exhibition finds the artist exploring 20 years of graffiti styles.

Controlling the uncontrollable in the world today seems a little far reaching. As a catalyst of multiple experiences, Misk displays his unique three dimensional style on two dimensional surfaces. This Modern retro series encompasses over 20 years of experience and techniques. Organizing chaos is no easy task when you’re controlling random atomized particles. It is the artist’s hope that the vibrant colors, bold shapes and icons will break through today’s chaos by mailing these letters and icons into the future.

On view through late July. Tether Design Gallery, 323 Occidental Ave South, Seattle, WA.
