Brooklyn-based artist Anne Peabody has installed “Wheel of Fortune” at Louisville’s superb 21c Hotel and Museum. The sculpture, inspired by Peabody’s childhood memory (the 1974 “Super Outbreak,” the largest tornado on record), is formed by thousands of pieces of glass, found objects, and wood. In sum, these parts create a whirl rising through the 21c atrium. In the end, she’s managed to create something 1 part trash and 1 part chic.

Pretty outstanding.
