Born in Seattle, Charles LeDray has been making sculptures for over 20 years. Now living in New York, his output includes textile pieces driven by popular fashions and intricate bone carvings. At the ICA Boston, Charles LeDray: workworkworkworkwork gathers together 50 of these sculptures. The exhibition presents, in essence, a survey and also works as platform for the unveiling of “Throwing Shadows” which is made up of over 3000 black ceramic vessels.

Having opened in July, the exhibition runs until October 17, 2010, before traveling to the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Additionally, workworkworkworkwork is accompanied by a catalog published by the ICA Boston in tandem with Skira/Rizzoli.

Further examples from the exhibition follow.
