Michael Porten’s Homesick exhibition opened on January 7, 2011 at P.J.S Exhibitions.

Homesick is the exploration of seemingly different experiences including
religion, addiction, family, music, and rainbows. Michael Porten’s work directly addresses how these various subjects overlap and work together, through what he describes as an “amalgamated self-portrait” using oil-on-canvas paintings and sculptures. Curated by Patrick Sullivan, Homesick runs through February 27, 2011.

Porten is a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design, Homesick is his first solo showing in New York City.
