Chicago’s newest art savvy restaurant and inn, Longman & Eagle, boasts one of GQ’s favorite new American kitchens and six well appointed guest rooms. The space is co-owned by none other than Cody Hudson, who has helped coordinate a great cast of Midwest based artists to design the rooms and in the publishing of a newsprint zine (that doubles as wall covering for the bathrooms). Additionally, the inn has collaborated with Goose Island Brewery on a special beer, Pork Soda.

Craftsmen not only help out with the decor (and the suds), but also help prepare mixtapes for use on guest room tape players. The personal touch isn’t taken lightly at Longman & Eagle, and neither is the range of artistic potential. The efforts yielded a Michelin Star in the Chicago Guide, enough to prove the place isn’t too shabby.

Longman & Eagle is located at 2657 N. Kedzie Ave, Chicago, IL 60647.
