On view through July 28, 2011 at Gagosian Gallery Paris, “Writers” shares 20 years of rich portraits by photographer Richard Avedon. Through the 1950s to the 1970s, Avedon set his sites on some of the world’s most famed writers, and as such offers intimate portrayal of some of the most important literary figures of the 20th-century. The exhibition also serves as the announcement of the artist’s official move to Gagosian as representing gallery.
