Opening on August 9, 2011, Romantics presents the origins, inspirations, and legacy of romantic art in Britain over 9 galleries. Newly acquired works by William Blake highlight the Tate Britain‘s ambitious show, which also includes works by Henry Fuseli, JMW Turner, John Constable and Samuel Palmer. Above, you’ll see Henry Wallis’ Chatterton of 1856.

The exhibition will run through June 3, 2012.
