Brooklyn-based eyewear label Contego have released their Fall/Winter 2011, marking their second season. Contego introduce three new frames, all named after winners of the Nobel Prize in Literature, The Bellow (Saul Bellow), The Llosa (Mario Vargas Llosa) and The Hemingway (Ernest Hemingway). Each frame is offered in three different handcrafted acetates as sunglasses — the Hemingway has a spectacles option — featuring CR39 lenses with 100% UVA/UVB protection and stainless steel optical spring hinges fitted into the temples. All frames are beautifully finished off with the brand’s umbrella logo and drops, both embellished in stainless steel on the temples and front respectively.
