Utilitarian stool alert. This simple piece of wooden goodness is made by the fair hand of Casey Dzierlenga in her L.A studio. Part of the Box Collective, a group of woodworkers committed to traditional techniques and responsible sourcing, she favours reclaimed dunnage for this piece. A mix of oak, alder and sycamore this lumber was originally used to protect cargo on ships. Finger joints mean an absence of nails, as is traditional in shaker furniture and stretch bars give support as well as providing handles at either side. Above all else this just looks the absolute business. Take a seat.
