For Fall/Winter 2011 Eastland of Maine has released a beautiful olive green version of its Wildwood U.S.A. Boots from the archival collection.

“The details on the Wildwood Boot are as pleasing to the eye as they are to the foot. Unlined Horween Chromexcel leather, over the ankle hand-stitched moc-toe deck boot, genuine rawhide leather laces through seven metal eyelets, leather insole, and single-welt stacked leather and Vibram rubber alpine tread sole are all fodder for double takes and hell yeahs.

These boots are also bench made using genuine true moccasin construction, meaning the leather from the upper fully wraps under the wearer’s foot. This is the traditional method of making handsewns and a sign of extremely well made shoes. A true all-American artisanal boot of the highest quality and handcrafted in Maine, U.S.A., since 1955.”

The boots are now in stock at Blackbird.
