Converse announces the debut of its Spring 2012 skateboarding footwear collection, including the new Form + Function Collection, and the latest collaborative shoes from Team Converse Skate Ambassadors, including the CONS Trapasso Pro, CONS Pappalardo Pro, and the KA-ONE. Available starting February 1, 2012.

Seamlessly combining a stripped down, clean, crisp design with functional skateboarding features, the Form + Function collection sets the standard for new classics. Styles are produced in a sleek premium leather, waxed canvas, and abrasion resistant suede, featuring a full EVA sockliner for flexibility and board feel and are “skate-able” right from the box.

A staple in Converse skate footwear, the CVO LS shoe takes a classic silhouette and modernizes it for the today’s rider. Stitch and turn overlays without exposed stitching reduces areas that may tear and pull. Available in black/white and vaporous grey/white suede, biking red/white waxed canvas. The Spring 2012 Sea Star LS shoe is a refined version of the original silhouette created over 50 years ago. The mock-toe boat shoe uses close seam construction for added durability making the Sea Star LS shoe “skate-able” right out of the box. Inspired by the classic Chuck Taylor All Star shoe, the Spring 2012 CT LS shoe remains a popular style among the Converse skateboarding footwear collection. With a Chuck Taylor All Star outsole, the CT LS shoe naturally lends itself to a true skateboard shoe. Available in black/white and charcoal/white suede, sycamore/white and dark denim/white canvas. The ELM LS shoe resurrects its predecessor, the Converse NS-1 boat shoe from the 1970’s. Stripped down to the bare essentials, the ELM LS is designed in a one piece construction to prevent tearing and ripping. CONS Pappalardo Pro
The CONS Pappalardo Pro shoe continues to shine as one of the most defining silhouettes for Converse skateboarding, reigning as one of the most popular in the collection. The latest shoe was inspired by the One Star Academy from the 1970’s and utilizes a new canvas textured embossed suede material execution. The KA-ONE, from Converse Skate Ambassador Kenny Anderson, is back for a third season. Inspired by one of the first shoes to don the Star Chevron logo, the Converse Classic Trainer from 1976, the KA-ONE features a slim flexible cupsole allowing for a greater board feel.
