The honorary president and former CEO of TAG Heuer, Jack Heuer, has an 80th birthday this year and to celebrate the venerable brand is releasing a limited edition of the Carrera, a watch he designed in the ’60s that is currently their top selling model, despite being discontinued for over a decade in the mid-80s. “The Carrera 80 has a metallic Silver sun-burst pattern with applied hour-markers and simple silver hands, much like the original Carrera 2447S of the 1960s,” we are told.

We are thinking that when we turn 80—should any of us be so lucky—a leather strap might be lighter and more comfortable on our papery flesh than something metal, but this slick timepiece comes both ways. Still, the red back on the calfskin gives it extra allure for a discerning dude of any age. A bit of Louboutin for your wrist, perhaps.
