Where the runway meets the street

Krane‘s Autumn/Winter 2012 lookbook unfolds on the chilly streets of (we’re guessing) Toronto with models looking chilly but secure in their stately jackets. These coats are deceptively clean and simple, with first glances not always catching the smart subtle details in the trim and fastening departments.

We are kinda wild about the shape and width on the leather collar affixed to the Asher hooded pea coat and would be more than happy to run across a freezing city park in nothing but the Hugh double-breasted overcoat (it is made from an olive military blanket and may have already seen similar action). With some new colors added, the duffles, rucksacks and carpenter bags (all of them Krane specialties) continue to succeed with the pragmatic and handsome combination of waxed cotton and leather—perfect for hauling valuables around a cold, grimy, lovely city.
