Some years ago when Bape killed it with their all over print hoodies, we did not think that we would see this kind of look again so soon. Then again, with subtle being the word of the hour for at least 2-3 years now, it was clear that a new counter trend had to come. To be honest we are happy about that – we could not see all the heritage, simple, subtle stuff anymore, at least not exclusively. Everything had gotten very boring, very streamlined. Everybody looked the same. Chino/Denim, boat shoes or Red Wings and oxford shirts all over the place.

Does that mean that you have to dress like a clown now? No, of course not. But having some color back is great and mixing it with the more subtle and premium clothing that most of us have been purchasing for some time now, makes for a great look, that is exciting and balanced.

Printers must be busy these days – all over print shirts are all over the place. From heritage to high fashion brands, they all feature them in ther current Spring/Summer 2012 Collections. The Hawaii shirt has a strong comeback as well, which of course makes totally sense.

We have picked some of our favorite all over print shirts of the season. Brands included are Woolrich Woolen Mills, Engineered Garments, Supreme, Monitaly, Burberry Prorsum, Alexander McQueen, Comme des Garcons, Norse Projects, Our Legacy, Adam Kimmel, Balmain, Band of Outsiders and others. As you can see, we chose pieces from all price categories, which just shows how alive the trend is at the moment.

15 of our favorite (there are lots more of course) all over print shirts can be seen after the jump.

The shirts were chosen from the following retailers: Mr. Porter, Soto Berlin, OiPolloi, Present, Oki-Ni, Opening Ceremony, Supreme, C-Store, Garbstore and Ssense.
