Marc Matsumoto comes through with a new spin on the average pasta dish. Change it up with the addition of crab meat in your tomato sauce to top some pasta. A nice one for the non-carnivores amongst us. He suggests Italian tuna as a substitute if you cannot find canned crab. Either way, this dish looks delicious.

2 tablespoons olive oil
3 medium cloves garlic, minced
1/2 medium onion, diced
1/2 red or yellow bell pepper, seeded and sliced
14 ounce can, stewed whole tomatoes
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
7 ounce can crab meat
8 ounces pasta, boiled according to package directions
parsley or other green herb, minced (optional)
Parmigiano-Reggiano (optional)
