First rumors have been circulating about the next designer collaboration by H&M. Apparently the Swedish fast fashion retailer will be working with Maison Martin Margiela on a Holiday 2012 Collection. It is save to say that such a partnership would have never happened under the reign of Margiela himself, who left his namesake label somewhere around 2009. Since then the brand has been headed by an in-house team of designers for the majority stake holder, Diesel founder Renzo Rosso. (Via The Cut)

We can certainly see Margiela fall into the pattern of H&M collaborators. A well respected high fashion brand, that has yet to win mainstream awareness. Even though Margiela was always the brand that wanted to stay under the radar. We are not sure we are very excited about this possible collaboration. We will of course keep you in the loop.
