The carefully sculpted face of Marc Jacobs forms words to tell the story of his first meeting with Yayoi Kusama in 2006. The collaboration, currently underway, seems like the perfect match, Vuitton never shy to make use of bold graphics and Yayoi firmly back in the public consciousness with a series of international retrospectives. Jacobs of course has nothing but positive things to say about the enigmatic artist who, at that point, had already started hand painting Louis Vuitton accessories. You sense she’s as enthusiastic about the project as the folks at LV, a lady always willing to adapt and experiment with new mediums.
