Korean director Park Chan Wook may be best known for his Vengeance Trilogy, consisting of 2002’s Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, 2003’s Oldboy and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance from 2005. Oftentimes dealing with the obscure and darker sides of human nature, Park creates elaborate stories, which evolve around a complex mistery and which over the course of the movie is slowly solved. In his first english language film he seems to have staid true to his signature style. The movie tells the story of a girl (Mia Wasikoswska), who, after her fathers dies, is confronted with the emergence of her misterious uncle Charlie (Matthew Goode) she had never seen before, who then moves in with her and her emotionally unstable mother (Nicole Kidman). Although having doubts about his motives, she feels drawn to him.

The film will be released in March 2013. Meanwhile have a look at the trailer above.
