Last week we gave you a peek into Google’s Data Centers and today we’re happy to share some images from Facebook’s Data Center. The building was designed by Sheehan Partners and is located in Prineville, Oregon. At 332, 290 square feet, the building uses as much energy as a small town.
Due to the center’s advanced technologies, the building has achieved LEED Gold status, the second highest status awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council. The center achieved this by cutting power at every opportunity, resulting in a building that runs 38% more efficiently than other state-of-the-art data centers yet costs 24% less to construct.
