For the 7th consecutive holiday season, Nixon has teamed up with Barneys New York on a series of exclusive timepieces. For Holiday 2012 the two chose to work on the subtle Rover model, inspired by the original field watch. All in all the collection is comprised of three versions of the Rover, two coming with a Quartz movement and the 3rd featuring a Japanese automatic movement.

“The Rover in either burgundy or dark navy has a 3-hand Japanese quartz with date function, date magnifier, an enamel-filled rotating bezel with sunray dial, superlum fill and NATO band construction. Durable, comfortable and adjustable The NATO nylon band also comes with custom stainless steel keepers and a molded buckle.

The second timepiece option, aptly named The Rover Automatic, features a Japanese 3-hand automatic movement with a sweeping seconds hand and a deep green sunray dial with date magnifier. The all stainless steel case has a 10ATM water rating, an enamel filled rotating bezel with a solid stainless steel three link custom double locking clasp band.”
