To celebrate the Corvette’s 60th birthday, Chevrolet has unveiled a made-over version of their classic, iconic American sports car. The latest model is the Corvette’s 7th iteration, thus the title “C7.” Chevrolet has opted, though, to title the new model “Stingray” which was first used on a 1959 race car, then on the remade 1963 Corvette.
The 2-door hatchback, with removable roof panel, delivers a whopping 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. The new ‘Vette gets more than 26 miles per gallon, making it the most fuel-efficient Corvette of all time. If you can shell out the cash you’ll be going from 0 to 60 mph in fewer than 4 seconds with either a 7-speed manual or 6-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission.
