Where the runway meets the street

The author of the following lines has left his native of Berlin – and the Berlin Fashion Week – behind for a brief (unfortunately) trip to the French capital. With Paris Fashion Week in full swing, the city’s already unmatched fashionable vibe has been turned up a notch making it even harder to keep up with the sheer number of stylish people mingling in the rustic cobblestone streets of the historic Marais quarter or Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. The secret to french chic is – at least that’s what I have been able to notice – keeping it low-key: understated and clean staples combined with a statement piece, spicing up that outfit and adding that certain je ne sais quoi.
