Where form meets function

Karl Lagerfeld turns photographer for Cassina. The designer chose 30 iconic pieces from the furniture giant to shoot in colour and black and white. A long time collector, Lagerfeld, also art director on the project, experiments with composition and light, balancing chairs on top of each other like a pro with classic designs from the likes of Le Corbusier, Albini and Gio Ponti featuring. The results can be seen at Cassina’s Parisian showroom in the ‘An Authentic Eye’ exhibition until 31 March. Take a look behind the scenes on the shoot below.
