Creative Director and MIANSAI founder Michael Saiger put a lot of thought into what people actually desire from a watch. “Watches are a very personal purchase; I wanted to create something that was true to our brand and true to our customer. For the most part people want something that looks good, makes them feel good and provides the best quality for their price range.”
The MIANSAI collection holds 3 styles the M1 (Perpetual), M2 (Chronograph) and M3 (Automatic) containing Japanese movements, stainless steel hardware (some with a PVD option) and sapphire glass. The second hand resembles a small hook and the crown was developed from the brand’s popular Screw Cuff. The unique bands are made from French calf and Italian leathers combined with the ribbon and rope materials seen throughout the entire MIANSAI collection.
The timepieces will be available for pre-sale from Barney’s CO-OP beginning March 1st 2013 with an anticipated in-store date of April 1st, as well as on
