From the ground up

In the 1960’s, writer John Cole dubbed Boston’s adult entertainment district the Combat Zone. It earned the name when the area was first patrolled by the military and later ended up embracing the notorious title from violence and crime. In 1974, the area was officially adopted as the adult entertainment district by the city of Boston. However, rising property values and violence essentially led to it’s demise. All that remains today of the Combat Zone are two small strip clubs; Centerfolds and The Glass Slipper, located along LaGrange Street. Inspired by this part of the city’s history, Concepts will present their rendition of a Vans all-time classic within the Syndicate range. A release is due on March 30, but stay tuned for a full unveiling early next week.
