So far, Instagram has provided the answer to ‘what,’ through captions and hash tags and ‘where,’ through the Photo Map function, and today they have announced the release of their new Photos of You feature which will answer the ‘who,’ and give way to an additional method of social communication. Now, when you upload a photo, you’re able to tag people as easy as it is to add hash tags. Only you will have control over who is tagged, and it doesn’t stop at people – you can tag any Instagram account you follow. There will also now be a Photos of You section on your profile, and you’ll receive a notification when you’ve been tagged and you have control over the privacy settings. The feature will be arriving May 16 and you can find out more about it in the video above.
