The New York Times recently took a look inside Mike D’s Brooklyn townhouse. Part of legendary hip-hop group Beastie Boys, Mike D had spent his entire life living in Manhattan before relocating to Cobble Hill with his wife and two kids. The musician describes him and his wife’s aesthetic as “kind of vernacular, sensitive, modern.” The renovation pictured above took about six months and ran the family just under $500,000.
