Where the runway meets the street

It’s summer so we hear and hopefully somewhere out there you’re experiencing some decent weather, the kind of climate designed for shedding those socks and shoes. Sandal time is here so we thought we’d start with 6 designs with a slightly smarter edge. Look out for the likes of Birkenstock, Prada, Paul Smith, Mr Hare and Neil Barrett.

More Buyer’s Guide Here.

Birkenstock Zurich in Habana Sandals ($120)

Birkenstocks are so good. Don’t let the naysayers tell you otherwise. They make a hundred great models but we’ve been sporting these Zurich’s for a while and can tell you they’re super comfortable and perfect if you don’t want to expose to0 much foot.

Mr. Hare First Sandal ($510)

Mr Hare makes a mean loafer, a mean dress shoe, look, the guy makes beautiful shoes and so it turns out, beautiful sandals.

Paul Smith Armanda Sandal ($446)

Another option for those who want a decent amount of coverage and for the kiltie fans out there, head straight towards these Paul Smith numbers.

Neil Barrett Blue Suede Norwich Sandals ($172)

A little colour in the mix, soft suede in blue perfect on top of those cork soles, they’re currently in sale so knock yourself out.

Prada Two Tone Slide Sandals ($239)

Prada give a grecian feel with these two tone sandals, thankfully staying far away from that multiple strap, all up your leg thing.

Marni – Leather Sandals ($596)

A solid looking pair here from Marni. Plenty of wide, leather straps held together with metal studs and a big buckle, Made in Italy.
