Tune in and turn up

While our music video coverage this week was light, that doesn’t mean there weren’t a bunch of great clips released this week. Of the two we covered, the latest from Die Antwoord didn’t even make the cut, so there’s four all-new videos to see. Below you will find our picks for the five best of the week.

Small Feet – Rivers (Dir. Oskar Wrango)

In the video for the song “Rivers” by Small Feet from their debut EP Liar Behind the Sun, a flaming man runs through the woods. Visually incredible.

Wavves – That’s On Me (Dir. Brandon Dermer)

For Wavves’ “That’s On Me,” director Brandon Dermer brilliantly blends some slo-mo, chubby white guy samurai sword sequences with shots of a cheerleader rib eating contest. Incredible.

Gesaffelstein – Pursuit (Dir. Fleur & Manu)

From our post earlier this week: “French techno artist and DJ Gesaffelstein has teamed up with director Fleur & Manu for the new visual of his track ‘Pursuit.’ The video is visually very strong and dark in a way. Entirely filmed in a factory, the composition, details and overall setting is great.”

Juicy J – One of Those Nights (Feat. The Weeknd) (Dir. Sam Pilling)

Abel Tesfaye and Juicy J get together for a very dope cinematic clip. To be honest, I have no idea why this wasn’t posted earlier in the week. A must watch.

JJ DOOM – Bookhead (Dir. ESPO)

In this video rap legend “Metal Face DOOM” (now known simply as DOOM) becomes “Mirror Face Doom” under the direction of artist Steve “ESPO” Powers. This song is nearly a year old, but the video just came out this week and it is rather great.
