Where the runway meets the street

Sam Ben-Avraham, the owner of the Atrium stores, has sold a partnership stake in Atrium’s two New York stores to street style icon Nick Wooster. Wooster will be playing the role of creative director of Atrium, WWD is reporting. The New York stores on Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn and Broadway in NoHo will be renamed Atrium Wooster within the next few weeks; Ben-Avraham will still retain full ownership of Atrium’s Miami location. Wooster most recently served as senior vice president of brand, trend and design for JCPenney and was also men’s fashion director for Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman. Wooster’s Twitter bio now reads, “Retailer.”
