You’ve seen the four-part Kanye West BBC Radio 1 interview with Zane Lowe and now it’s time to look back on his best quotes. Yeezy sure made some large statements in the one-hour interview – some made sense and some were downright outrageous. But what’s a Kanye interview without some controversy? Here’s a list of our top picks. Check out parts 1, 2, 3 and 4.

On race and limitations: “I’ve reached a point in my life where my Truman Show boat has hit the painting. And I’ve got to a point that Michael Jackson did not break down. I have reached the glass ceiling. As a creative person, as a celebrity. When I say that, it means, I want to do product, I am a product person. Not just clothing, but water bottle design, architecture, everything.”

On fashion: “Me and Virgil (Abloh) are in Rome, giving designs to Fendi, over and over, and getting our designs knocked down … (We) brought the leather jogging pants six years ago to Fendi, and they said ‘no.’ How many motherfuckers you done seen with a leather jogging pant?”

On hip-hop dominance: “Rap is the new rock and roll. We are culture. Rap is the new rock and roll. We are the rock stars. It’s been like that for a minute, Hedi Slimane. It’s been like that for a minute. We the biggest rock stars, and I’m the biggest of all of them.”

On his role as a musician: “I showed people that I understand how to make perfect. Dark Fantasy could be considered to be perfect. I know how to make perfect, but that’s not what I’m here to do. I’m here to crack the pavement and make new grounds — sonically and society, culturally.”

On Lady Gaga: “Look at Gaga, she’s the creative director of Polaroid. I like some of the Gaga songs; what the fuck does she know about cameras?”

On being God: “When someone comes up and says something like, ‘I am a God,’ everybody says, Who does he think he is? I just told you who I thought I was: A God.”

On Kim Kardashian:
“She was in a powerful enough situation where she could love me without asking for money. Which is really hard for me to find.”

On his softer side: “People think a lot of my motivation is very megalomaniac and self-oriented. To the contrary completely. I just want to help.”

On flip-flops: “No flip-flops for black dudes. I don’t care where you at. Wear some hot ass Jordans on the beach.”

On his fans: “If you a Kanye West fan, you a fan of yourself.”
