To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Doernbecher Freestyle Project, a group of Oregon Health & Science University Doernbecher Children’s Hospital patients came together with Nike designers and developers to create a collection of sneakers that are unique to each patient. With the patients at the center of the design process—deciding the colors, materials and details for each shoe – the collection features several of the brand’s most-popular silhouettes, including the Roshe Run, Air Jordan X Retro, Foamposite One, Dunk Sky Hi, Free 5.0 and Zoom Stefan Janoski, and a few apparel options (which have yet to be revealed). The Nike 2013 Doernbecher Freestyle collection will be available at Nike retail locations beginning November 23.
