A while ago we reported about the exceptional Christie’s auction featuring 50 of the most sought-after Rolex Daytona watches. The results have come in and once again underline the fact that we are at the height of Rolex vintage watch collecting. A 1969 stainless-steel Paul Newman-model Rolex Daytona wristwatch sold for $1.1 million USD, with the sale overall raising $13.2 million USD and all 50 watches having sold. The above watch is therefore officially the most expensive Rolex watch to ever have sold at auction.
