After previewing Hayao Miyazaki‘s The Wind Rises earlier this year, we now have the official trailer for you. Set to be Miyazaki’s final feature film for Studio Ghibli before he retires, The Wind Rises also pays homage to Jiro Horikoshi – the man who designed fighter planes during WWII and poet Tatsuo Hori. The film is a fictionalized biography of Horikoshi’s life and is based on the manga of the same name, which was originally based on a short story by Hori. Stunning visuals take us through decades of Japan’s history in this fantasy film that looks set to be one of Miyazaki’s best. Having already released in Japan, the film will be in North American cinemas on February 21, 2014.
