For their latest campaign, HP Computers – in support of the new Split x2 laptop/table – asked Clams Casino and Vic Mensa to create an expansive multimedia project comprised of a song, video and “prints to decorate the studio” in only two days. Pairing the producers’ infectious beats with the burgeoning Chicago emcee’s witty rhymes, the result is “Egyptian Cotton” – a blend of one part subliminal advertisement and equal parts inventive delivery of new material (the whole process was live-streamed on YouTube).
