Returning to Danish brand Wood Wood for Fall/Winter 2014. We had the opportunity to take a look at the collection up-close at Copenhagen Fashion Week and Gallery International fashion Fair, another impressive line based around the theme ‘Heroes’ and The Guns of Navarone (the J. Lee Thompson film, not the Ska tune,) styles for men and women take on that street/contemporary mix that the label does so well. Taking inspiration from the movie’s military uniforms and the “DIY spirit of the resistance movements,” the collection goes beyond world war battles taking in heroes old and new from the worlds of music, politics, culture and sport, brought together in a spot-on portrait print shirt featuring the likes of Tupac, Morrissey and Jacques Cousteau. Sealed seams, premium jersey, bold checks, soft wools and graphic tees, function and fashion make friends once again. Press play.
